Why I created My Health Companion
Share
This wasn't something I planned to create.
It came from feeling overwhelmed.
Over the last few years, my health has become more complicated than I ever imagined.
There have been appointments.
Tests.
Scans.
Specialists.
Medications.
New symptoms.
More questions.
And a lot of waiting rooms.
At some point, I realised I was trying to keep track of everything in different places.
Some things were written in notebooks.
Some were saved in my phone.
Some were on bits of paper.
And sometimes I couldn't remember where I'd written things at all.
Trying to remember symptoms.
Trying to remember questions for specialists.
Trying to remember when something started.
Trying to remember what helped.
And on the days I felt the worst...
it was the hardest to keep track of any of it.
When you're dealing with fatigue, pain, brain fog and everything else that comes with chronic illness...
even simple things can start to feel overwhelming.
Everything felt scattered.
And honestly...
so did I.
I needed something simple.
Something calm.
Something that didn't add more stress.
I wanted one place to keep everything together.
Symptoms.
Appointments.
Medications.
Notes.
Patterns.
Questions.
The good days.
The hard days.
That's where My Health Companion came from.
Not from wanting to create something...
but from needing something.
This is what eventually became My Health Companion.
It isn’t perfect.
Neither am I.
But it became the calm place I needed when everything felt overwhelming.
Something gentle.
Something supportive.
Something I could reach for when everything felt a little too much.
Because when you're already carrying so much...
the last thing you need is another complicated system.
If you've ever felt overwhelmed trying to keep track of your health while also trying to live your life...
you'll understand why this matters 🤍
